“Tourist” is a personal and documentary story about the author’s trip to Kyiv at a time when full-scale war has now been ongoing in Ukraine for five years. But this is not a performance about the horrors of war. Quite the opposite - it is about people.

About people who are able to preserve optimism, joy of life, and faith in goodness even in the most difficult circumstances.

The author and the actors personally share their feelings brought on by this journey - the comical, the awkward, and also those that are usually left unspoken. At the same time, “Tourist” seeks an answer to a broader question: who are we all? Only tourists - we come, experience, and leave? Or locals - we are where we are because that is where we are meant to be? Or is there a third option - there is no logic at all, and we are the “lucky ones” of a huge coincidence? Everyone does what they want. Everyone is alone. There are no answers. Only one thing is clear - a human being is an astonishingly complex, contradictory, and fascinating organism, born with the potential for all that is good and all that is evil.
