Vecpiebalga amateur theatre “Sumaisītis” presents “Ar būdu uz baznīcu”

Vecpiebalga amateur theatre “Sumaisītis” is celebrating its 30th anniversary and invites you to the gala premiere on October 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the Vecpiebalga Cultural House.

To mark this occasion, the witty and profound classic of Latvian drama by our local writer Pauli Putniņš, the play “Ar būdu uz baznīcu,” will come to life on stage. It will be an energetic and fresh take on the well-known curiosities of “collective farm times” and people’s longing for true values.

This performance is significant not only because of the theatre’s round anniversary. It is also a new creative beginning and an intriguing debut, as director Kārlis Freimanis presents his first independent production with “Sumaisītis.”
