Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
A concert performance for children included in the cultural education program “Latvia’s School Bag”.
Have you ever wondered how to portray in music the songs of spring birds, a thunderstorm on a hot summer day, the rustling of autumn leaves, or snowflakes slowly swirling on a calm winter evening?
Antonio Vivaldi is one of the world’s greatest masters of sound, who, with his brilliant imagination and talent, managed to bring all four seasons to life in a symphonic score.
In the violin concerto cycle “The Four Seasons,” each piece is like a musical story, inviting you to imagine and feel how nature changes throughout the year. Vivaldi’s music is alive, colorful, and full of surprises.
Staged especially for the youngest audience of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra by director Ģirts Šolis and actor Rihards Zelezņevs, this will be a wonderful opportunity for children to experience how music can become an exciting adventure.
In addition, before the concert, young listeners will have the chance to get to know the orchestra’s instruments more closely and try them out themselves.
