Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons Exhibition "Two SONIs in Liepāja"

From October 16 to December 6, 2026, the small exhibition hall of the Liepāja Museum will host the exhibition "Two SONIs in Liepāja" by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons. Exhibition opening: Friday, October 16, at 5:00 p.m.

The exhibition "Two SONIs in Liepāja" by Aivars Vilipsons and Ivars Miķelsons is a meeting of two independent artistic hands, based on about 45 years of friendship and creative collaboration. The title playfully combines the surnames of both artists, while in the works a dialogue emerges between line and form, personal observation and imagination. At its center is the human being - the body, relationships, and moments of life that are transformed into images in graphics, painting, and sculpture.
