Baby Handling for Expectant Parents, a Class with Evita Žvagiņa-Jākobsone

Waiting for a baby is often accompanied by excitement, but also by worry - will I know how to hold, lift, and care for them properly? The fear of causing harm is very natural, especially in the first days, when everything is new and unknown. It is precisely the feeling of safety in your own hands that helps parents feel calmer and more confident. What does this lecture offer?

This class provides practical, child development based knowledge about baby handling, so that from the very first days of life you know how to hold, care for, and look after your baby safely, respectfully, and in a way that supports development.

If in your everyday life you have questions about how to hold a baby properly, how to lift, carry, and dress them, or how to build a secure bond through touch, this class is just for you! Both expectant parents and parents with very young babies are welcome.

In the lecture you will learn:

How to hold, lift, roll, and carry a baby correctly using natural positions

How to provide a baby with safe and comfortable support in everyday situations

How to support a baby's natural movements and promote harmonious development
