A Visit to Jelgava Prison

On a two-hour walk, participants will go behind the walls of Jelgava Prison together with guides who once worked here themselves and will share personal memories and everyday stories about life on the other side of these walls. Visitors will be able to walk around the prison grounds and see its historic buildings, listening not so much to a history lecture as to lively, firsthand observations and experience-based stories that reveal the daily life of this place from a different point of view. The walk will be interesting for anyone who wants to see Jelgava Prison not only as a witness to history, but also through the eyes of someone who spent part of their working life here.
