Alizée 'Moi Lolita'

A sensational announcement: world pop star Alizée is coming to Riga

On November 22, a special musical evening will take place at Xiaomi Arena in Riga, where one of the brightest icons of French pop music, Alizée, will take the stage. This will be an important event for both pop music fans and anyone who wants to experience live an artist whose name has been associated for more than two decades with elegance, charisma, and songs that have captivated millions of listeners.

Alizée gained wide international recognition with the legendary hit “Moi... Lolita,” which became one of the most striking French pop music phenomena in Europe. The song sold more than 2 million copies, including 1.2 million in France, and marked the beginning of a brilliant career that established Alizée’s name far beyond France’s borders.

The success did not stop with a single. Alizée’s first albums, “Gourmandises” and “Mes courants électriques,” sold approximately 800,000 and 400,000 copies respectively, while “Gourmandises” was later cited as an album that reached as many as 4 million copies worldwide. These figures prove that Alizée is not just a pop phenomenon of the early 2000s, but an artist with a lasting place in European pop culture.

Alizée’s appeal lies not only in her commercial success, but also in her distinctive stage image. Her vocal timbre, subtle elegance, and easily recognizable stage presence have made her a style icon of her generation. Songs such as “Moi... Lolita” and “J’en ai marre!” are still recognized across different countries and generations, while on the artist’s official YouTube channel, music videos and concert recordings continue to gather tens of millions of views.

An interesting fact: Alizée is from Ajaccio, Corsica, and from an early age sought expression in art, dance, and stage movement. Later, her versatile talent was also strongly recognized on television, where together with Grégoire Lyonnet she won the fourth season of the French show “Danse avec les Stars,” further solidifying her status as a vivid and versatile stage personality.

On the evening of November 22, the Riga audience will have the chance to hear Alizée’s biggest hits live and experience a concert where nostalgia, pop music history, and true French charm come together. It will be an evening with an artist whose songs have moved and enthralled millions of people, while her name still remains among the most recognizable European pop stars.
