Andris Baltacis / Latgalian in the World / 40 Years on Stage

To celebrate 40 years of creative work, singer, musician, and a little bit of an actor Andris Baltacis is meeting his audience, offering a heartfelt and colorful concert series, “Latgalian in the World”.

Andris Baltacis is one of the brightest Latvian stage performers, whose musical journey has taken him through the most varied genres and formats. From the kapela “Dunduri” and the bands “Stikls” and “Baltie lāči”, to participation in television shows such as “Sing with a Star” and “Sing It Back to Me”; from songs to musical productions, from schlager to opera. In 2025, together with Dainis Skutelis, he triumphed in the final of “Latvia’s Song of the Heart” with the song “Latgalian is”, once again confirming his talent and the audience’s love.

Still active and inspiring, Andris Baltacis invites audiences to concerts across Latvia this autumn and at the beginning of next year, where the most beautiful songs from his wide repertoire will be heard. The program will cover diverse periods of his creative work - from schlager and folk songs to rock music and an opera piece. The concert will also feature gems of world music that audiences discovered in the show “Sing It Back to Me”.

Joining Andris on stage will be outstanding musicians: pianist Juris Kristons, guitarist Jānis Kalniņš, bass guitarist Modris Laizāns, drummer Ivars Kalniņš, the vocal trio “Oranžās”… as well as special guests! The concert’s musical side will be complemented by dancers under the direction of choreographer Beāte Svarinska.
