Anta Eņģele’s Concert-Expedition “Sailor’s Notebook”

On November 8 at 4: 00 PM, Anta Eņģele’s concert-expedition “Sailor’s Notebook” will take place at the Bērzaine Community Center.

The concert will feature songs that Anta Eņģele collected while going on expeditions to old sailors. They also gave her their song notebooks, which they had taken with them to sea. Each melody will be accompanied by a story of how it came to be and how it reached the singer, and who has sung it. There will also be excerpts from sailors’ letters, which they sent home from distant lands.

Admission: 5 EUR.
