ART of RIGA JAZZ 2026 | Dainius Pulauskas Group

Dainius Pulauskas Group was founded in 1996 and instantly became one of the most influential and leading Lithuanian jazz ensembles and an internationally recognized ambassador of Lithuanian jazz. Jazz critic Jan Patterson, writing on his All About Jazz website on October 10, 2011, described the group as "a unique sextet whose blend of melody and power, lyricism and the unexpected places it firmly at the forefront of progressive European jazz fusion," and the group leader was described as pianist/keyboardist Pulauskas, who is unquestionably one of the most interesting composers at the forefront of progressive European jazz and has been the leader of this sextet for seventeen years".

"Dainius Pulauskas Group is unique, whose blend of melody and power, lyricism and the unexpected places it firmly at the forefront of progressive European jazz fusion," writes Jan Patterson, All About Jazz.

The group first made its mark at the Birštonas Jazz Festival and already in 1997 they released their debut album "Penetration". Dainius Pulauskas Group has broken all local records, entering the Lithuanian Jazz Hall of Fame in astonishingly short time.
