Bulajevs. Šnē. Egliņa

At the concert hall “Baltais Flīģelis,” the internationally renowned trio of outstanding musicians Daniils Bulajevs (violin), Guna Šnē (cello), and Agnese Egliņa (piano) will perform. They describe their latest musical collaboration, F. Say’s “A Leap into Space,” with these words: “Space, the cosmos, light, and matter. We know so little about it, yet we think and speak so much about it. It is something magical and inspiring. And this program is about movement, impulse, and contemporary energy, allowing the ‘cosmos’ to sometimes become playful and unpredictable as well.” Its composer, the contemporary Turkish composer and pianist Fazıl Say, was inspired by the daring world record set by Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner in outer space and created the emotionally rich “Leap,” or “Space Jump.”

The concert program will include:

F. Mendelssohn piano trio in D minor, op. 49

Fazıl Say piano trio “Space Jump” “A Leap into Space,” op. 46

P. Schoenfield piano trio “Cafe Music”
