GYPSY DREAMS
Gypsy music knows no borders or maps. It is born on the road, where cart wheels leave tracks on dusty roads, where campfires warm travelers and the stars become the only roof overhead. It contains everything: quiet sadness, depth, sincerity, and sudden joy like a ray of sunlight breaking through the morning clouds.
“GYPSY DREAMS” is a declaration of love without words, a story of fate sung from the heart. The melodies may begin with a shy, almost whispering motif, but a moment later turn into a storm of rhythm and sound, carrying you away and leaving warmth and a pleasant aftertaste in the soul.
This evening will feature both beloved, widely known songs and rarely heard melodies, performed live and with true heartfelt passion.
The concert will feature three experienced artists, well known to the public and loved for their professionalism and talent:
RAISA KOPILYENKO is a representative of the famous KOPILYENKO musical dynasty. Her grandfather, Andrei Kopilyenko, founded the music collective AME ROMA in Ukraine in 1934. Her father, Artur Kopilyenko, continued the family work and became a prominent musician both in Latvia and beyond. Today Raisa is the leader of the gypsy show group AME ROMA. A wonderful singer with a voice in which life experience, femininity, and quiet strength can be heard. Her singing is always beauty and sincerity.
RINO RUDEVICS is Raisa's son, representing two legendary Latvian Roma families, Kopilyenko and Rudevics. A distinguished fourth-generation musician, an outstanding guitarist, and the owner of a truly gypsy voice.
ALEKSEJS KOLYESNIKOVS is a well-known virtuoso violinist who plays music in various styles, a laureate of international competitions, an outstanding violin improviser, and a participant in television shows and international festivals. The sound of his violin leaves no one indifferent and can reach the deepest strings of the soul.
The atmosphere of the Jēkabpils House of Culture will allow you to hear every nuance of sound and feel that the music is directed straight at you.
“GYPSY DREAMS” will be an evening with no distance between the stage and the audience, only music, light, and the breath of a live moment.
Recommended for those who value the atmosphere of chamber music, authentic sound, and the depth of the soul.
