Dance House at KURTUVE: Sfera

What cannot be danced must be spoken about.

That is why Sfera is being created, a dance radio performance in which Aigars and Nauris discuss what matters today: politics, cryptocurrency, sports, contemporary dance, the crisis of masculinity.

Two friends, a microphone, and a space where silence needs to be filled. They formulate, argue, challenge, interrupt, switch roles, compete for attention.

Because talking about something is easier than talking to each other.

The performance was created within the Dance House program "Warming Residency." The Dance House in the contemporary art space KURTUVE in Valmiera was opened on September 13 and 14, 2025, by the Latvian Dance Information Centre. In 2025, Dance House at KURTUVE presented two new works - Olga Žitluhina's "#piecērt8000" (this work opened the Dance House pilot program at Riga Circus in February 2026) and Alise Madara Bokaldere's "Threads." The dance radio performance "Sfera" is the first of the new works in the 2026 program.
