Tour “Jelgava Prison Then and Now” with guide Inga Piļāni

In this two-hour walk, participants will go behind the walls of Jelgava Prison to discover one of Latvia's oldest places of imprisonment and its history spanning more than a century. During the tour, you will be able to walk through the prison grounds, view its historic buildings, and learn about the different stages of the prison's development, events, and personalities whose destinies have been closely connected with this place. The tour will be interesting for anyone who is drawn to Latvian history, architecture, and lesser-known places in Jelgava.
