The core of the cycle “Time. You. Prayer” is spiritual chants from around the world, little known in Latvia, drawn from various traditions. Alongside universal spiritual themes, the program also touches on a person’s relationship with their land, belonging, and homeland.

In the new program “I Am the Way,” the creators continue their work, seeking original solutions for the synthesis of spiritual and contemporary music. The program includes church chants from different centuries, folk music, classical and contemporary music, including music from films, cantatas, and opera.

We will hear chants in English, German, Latin, Greek, Georgian, Romani, Church Slavonic, and Latvian, as well as examples of contemporary instrumental music, including the Ukrainian composer V. Silvestrov’s piece for violin Hommage à J. S. B.

Concert performance duration: 1 hour 20 minutes.

A 15% discount on the ticket price is available for large families, school students, university students, ITIC card holders, pensioners, people with disabilities, and their companions upon presenting proof of eligibility at the entrance to the concert.
