European Christmas Festival. Winter Jazz Evening | TRIO ELPO and Matīss Čudars

Winter jazz at Spīķeri Concert Hall, where on one stage we will see guitar virtuoso Matīss Čudars and the jazz ensemble TRIO ELPO, featuring pianist Edgars Cīrulis, double bassist Jānis Rubiks, and drummer Rūdolfs Dankfelds.

In the first part of the concert, TRIO ELPO will perform music that is a space for calm, a place to meet, be refreshed, and immerse oneself. It is an excellent soundtrack for the Latvian winter and our people’s introverted nature, the desire for healthy solitude and reflection. In the second part of the concert, Matīss Čudars will join them on stage. In these new musical explorations, we will hear both Matīss’s original compositions and improvisations, as well as, of course, the brightest Christmas melodies in new jazz arrangements.
