Pink Noise Riga Festival. Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra

The legendary trumpeter, composer, and Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis and the world-renowned JLCO founded by him, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, will perform in Riga with a special "Big Band Holidays" program.

Wynton Marsalis is a legend, one of the most influential figures in music in the world - an outstanding trumpeter, composer, and ambassador of American culture, whose achievements extend beyond the boundaries of jazz and classical music.

The orchestra founded by Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, is rightly considered the world's best jazz orchestra. Together with Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra has performed extensively around the world, but this will be its first visit to the Baltics and Riga.

What makes the orchestra's visit and concert at the Pink Noise Riga festival unique is the fact that, for the first time outside the United States, the orchestra will perform a Christmas-themed music program specially arranged for this big band, "Big Band Holidays".

The program will feature festive melodies in original arrangements created by the orchestra's own members, including Marsalis. In addition to the orchestra's musicians, the concert will also feature outstanding guest vocalists, whose names will be announced later.
