Gundars Āboliņš, Andrejs Osokins "Feelings Game"

Gundars Āboliņš and Andrejs Osokins present a literary-musical composition in which music and poetry, the sound of the piano and the human voice create a dialogue that leaves the audience with an unforgettable impression.

In the first part, piano music by Ukrainian and Latvian composers will be heard, alternating with poetry from musician and collector of feelings Ainars Knešs' new collection "Unplayed Texts". Andrejs Osokins will perform piano music by Jānis Mediņš, Jāzeps Vītols, Ādolfs Skulte, Volfgangs Dārziņš and Valentīns Silvestrovs, as well as new piano improvisations specially prepared by the pianist for each "Feelings Game" performance. In the second part of the composition, a distinctive musical-literary correspondence will be formed by the romantic, lavish and temperamental gems of piano music by German composer Robert Schumann and the cycle of poems by Jānis Grots, "Peer Gynt's Letters to Solveig".

Gundars Āboliņš and Andrejs Osokins first appeared together on stage in the summer of 2023 during the Osokins Freedom Festival for Ukraine, when the two artists created the program "Feelings Game" with Ainars Knešs' poetry. In cooperation with the Ola Foundation, this idea was enriched with R. Schumann's romantic piano music and the poetry of Jānis Grots, and it continues its journey to audiences throughout Latvia.
