Holiday Concert “Only Girls in Jazz”

Only girls in jazz! And that means there will be elegance, sparkling rhythms, and a little musical surprise too!

Violinist Ilze Kirsanova and pianist Tatjana Čigorskaja invite you on an exciting musical journey in which jazz will reveal itself in a wide range of colors and moods.

Did you know that jazz can even hide inside Bach's music? It happily gives in to ragtime rhythms, sounds in the legendary Ellington and Desmond jazz standards, visits Gershwin's opera, and surprises with waltzes, blues, and rumba. And of course, there is no shortage of Hollywood and Broadway sparkle! You will find both Mancini and Chaplin melodies here, as well as the cheerful “Hello, Dolly!”

It will be a musical adventure in the world of the 20th century, where the concert stage meets the dance hall and the movie screen, while jazz playfully crosses every boundary. Because good jazz calls for freedom, elegance, and, of course, a good dose of humor too!

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, elegant dresses, and an uplifting mood will give the evening a special atmosphere and create a true holiday feeling. After all, if there are only girls in jazz, then they set the rules of the game too! And that means a truly sparkling evening!
