ALIVE (6+)
(performance for children)
Earth is still the only known planet in the universe where life is found. It is also home to two young people who meet to create a living organism together with the audience. By combining exhibits from the museum collection, the means of theatrical expression, and dramaturgy, the audience is invited to go on an exploratory adventure and discover the many surprising abilities inherent in everything that is alive.
Inspired by the natural sciences curriculum of "Skola2030" for students in grades 1-4 and focusing on the seven characteristics of living beings, the significance and fragility of life as a single whole is brought to the forefront. While the room theatre team was in residence at the Pauls Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine and exploring the museum collection, the main exhibition, and the stories behind the exhibits that stir the imagination, an event was created that invites young and adult audiences alike to think about life in a human, as well as in a tree leaf and a bird.
