JAZZ LOUNGE | Toma Rudzinska Residency | Meridian Quintet

Meridian Quintet brings together four outstanding jazz musicians from Latvia, Italy, Denmark, Austria, and Poland, offering a vivid and diverse sound of contemporary European jazz. The ensemble's program features the musicians' original compositions, where compositional precision blends with the freedom of improvisation and creative dialogue.

The group's music brings together the lyricism of Northern European jazz, the energy of modern jazz, and refined ensemble interplay. The melodic lines of saxophone and guitar are complemented by a rich harmonic spectrum of piano and a dynamic rhythm section, creating an exciting musical experience.

The project was born during the international Poznań Music Labs LIVE series and continues to develop as a long-term collaboration that will culminate in the release of a joint album and a concert tour in Europe. Listeners can expect a concert where different European jazz traditions, spontaneous improvisation, and striking artistic individuality come together.

He actively performs in the international jazz scene both as a performer and educator, collaborating with world-class artists including Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, and Dee Dee Bridgewater.
