What Is Happening in the Great Forest?

Beyond the meadows, beyond the hills and the bends of little streams stretches a mighty forest. Proud birches and aspens with silver leaves grow there. Against the sky rise slender firs and the branching giants of oaks. That is why this forest is called the Great Forest. In the small Fern Village of the Great Forest, fairies and gnomes live happily. Then one day, new residents settle in the Forest Creatures' thicket - the Witch with her helpers, the ferrets - and begin their acts of destruction....

The events of Margarita Stāraste’s fairy tale “What Is Happening in the Great Forest?” are brought to life in a splendid puppet musical, created based on the writer’s original illustrations.
