Ķekava Municipality Nordic Walking and Walking Festival 2026

On October 10, the “Ķekava Municipality Nordic Walking and Walking Festival 2026” will take place in Baloži, inviting fans of active recreation to choose the distance best suited to their abilities and enjoy autumn in motion. The start is at 11:30 at the sports complex of Baloži Secondary School, 6 Skolas Street.

The festival is organized with the aim of promoting Nordic walking and walking as forms of physical activity accessible to people of different ages and fitness levels, while also encouraging residents to move more and spend their free time actively. Both residents of Ķekava Municipality and guests are invited to take part.

Participants will have the opportunity to start in a 5 or 10 kilometer Nordic walking or walking distance. The competition day will begin with participant registration from 10:00 to 10:50, and before heading out on the course, a joint warm-up led by a Nordic walking coach is planned from 11:00. The start will be given at 11:30.

Advance registration is open until 20:00 on October 8.
