Concert Performance "THE BLOND MARTYR"

Aloizs Trūps’ carousel of life in a musical visual story on November 4 at the Joriks Theater in Rēzekne.

Latgalian Aloizs Lauris Trūps, because of his traits and a fateful set of coincidences, ended up at the court of the last Tsar of the Russian Empire, becoming a chamberlain and a trusted man of the Romanov family. He was shot by the Bolsheviks together with the Tsar’s family. After his death, the Orthodox Church recognized him as a holy martyr.

Aloizs Trūps’ vivid life story in the concert performance will be told through hip-hop and alternative pop rock specially composed for this production by Ūga, Dabasu Durovys, Juos īluos līluos, and Guntis Rasims. The concert will be complemented by Ivars Utināns’ computer visuals and humorous monologues by Arnis Bukšs.
