FALLING UPWARD

Joahims Meierhofs is not only one of the best actors in contemporary German theatre, but over the past few years he has also earned a reputation as a highly successful writer. His books have long been on the bestseller shelves in bookstores. They surprise with wisely warm and intelligently witty observations about life, which let you look at the world from a completely new point of view.

In his latest book, he describes his journey to his mother. Both literally and figuratively.

The second main theme of the book and therefore also of our performance is the invisible side of the acting profession. Both tragic and comic.

It is hard, or almost impossible, to be surprised in contemporary art. Joahims Meierhof has managed to do so.
