LATVIAN VOICES Christmas concert program 'SNIEGums'

The a cappella group Latvian Voices’ Christmas program “SNIEGums” is both a wintry play on words and a sincere intention by the singers to gift their listeners the most beautiful musical performance.

In Latvian Voices’ six-part blends of chords and melodies, one will hear both meditative Advent hymns, “O Come Emmanuel,” “See Amid the Winter’s Snow,” and traditional winter solstice songs in modern arrangements, “Ai, bagāti Ziemassvētki,” “Pūti, pūti, ziemelīti,” as well as original songs created by the group members especially for this program, “Sniegu sniegt,” “Ziemas stāsts,” “So Slow,” “Tālu ziemas ceļu gāju,” etc.

This year too, the concert program will be accompanied by a Christmas album of the same name, “SNIEGums.” The album was made in collaboration with producer Andrew Kessler from Los Angeles, and is already the second recording project in the musicians’ partnership.
