Danish saxophonist, composer, and conductor Lars Møller (1966) is one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary Scandinavian jazz. His music weaves together American, Indian, and Nordic musical influences, creating a distinctive and recognizable sound. Møller has actively performed across Europe, the USA, China, Australia, and elsewhere in the world, and has released several recordings, including the award-winning album Kaleidoscope (1998).

In this project, Lars Møller combines jazz and Indian classical music, collaborating with two outstanding musicians of the younger generation - shehnai master Ashwani Shankar and tabla virtuoso Zuheb Ahmed Khan. The program features original music that blends rich rhythm, improvisation, and the melodic traditions of Indian classical music.

Interest in Indian culture and music has held an important place in Møller's creative work for more than thirty years. During this time, he has studied Indian music traditions in depth under several distinguished masters.

The concert program explores the points of contact between the Scandinavian jazz tradition and Indian classical music, creating a vivid intercultural dialogue. The melodic richness and rhythmic diversity of Indian music combine with the harmonic openness and atmospheric quality characteristic of Scandinavian jazz, revealing new musical perspectives for both musicians and listeners.
