"Pattern Bridges" exhibition of weavers from Madona region

From October 2, 2026, in the attic of the exhibition hall of the Madona regional history and art museum, the works of weavers from the Madona district's Sarkaņi Amatu school, the weavers' group "Lubāna", the handicraft studio of the Cesvaines cultural house, the Mētriena society "Abeles" and the Arona parish MC "1st floor" will be on display, which are interwoven in the exhibition "Rakstu tilti".

Weavers are united not only by weaving skills and love for this traditional craft, but also by friendship, exchange of experiences and the desire to create. Even though the places of Madona county are separated by rivers, forests and open spaces, the colorful dzipars create their own bridges - between people, places and generations. Each work combines carefully preserved weaving traditions with the author's individual handwriting, sense of color and creative perspective.

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Rakstu tilti" on October 2 at 15.00! Come and see the works created by the weavers and the stories woven into the yarn.

The exhibition can be viewed until November 29.
