The Adventures of Little Mouse

The mischiefs and adventures of the little mouse, already familiar to several generations through the melodious poetry of Dzidra Rinkule-Zemzare, have now been turned into a musical performance for the very youngest audience members. Every little mouse, just like every little child, comes to a moment when the desire to take the first independent steps into the big world full of unknown wonders is stronger than a parent's warnings to beware of it. More than once, Mouse Mother and Mouse Father have to rescue the little rascal from the troubles and misfortunes he has once again stumbled into. But has anyone ever grown up without testing for themselves whether the promised dangers are really so dreadful?

"Let Mother chase me all she likes,

The room is far too hot for me.

I dance like a blizzard myself,

I decide for myself where I go."
