Some sound quiet and contemplative, others sparkling, witty, and surprising. “Winter Listening Stories” is a musical journey that unfolds in the sound of voice, accordion, violin, and double bass, inviting you to experience winter in all its diversity - from quiet peace to sparkling joy and the feeling of anticipation for the holidays.

In the interplay of singer Zane Rozenfelde, accordionist Māris Rozenfelds, violinist Indulis Cintiņš, and double bassist Viktors Veļičko, each piece becomes a listening story. One invites you to sink into quiet reflection, another brings a smile, while yet another surprises with unexpected musical turns and virtuosity. Even an ordinary-looking object, such as a typewriter, briefly becomes a fully fledged musical instrument, reminding us that wonder is often very close at hand.

Music from different eras and genres weaves together in this program into a single winter story - warm, colorful, and full of life! In the works of J. Lūsēns, I. Ulmanis, M. Rozenfelds, and other composers, winter reveals itself in different ways. The concert program is united into one story by specially written prose texts, which become a bridge between the pieces, allowing the concert to be experienced as a single, living journey in which music and stories organically complement one another.
