Reinis Jaunais, Zane Lasmane, Erna Daugaviete | VEST | AKUSTIKA cultural space, Valmiera

GUITAR. KOKLE. CELLO | Concert presenting Reinis Jaunais' album “VEST”

In the first part of VEST, listeners will be taken on a musical journey across seas, and in the second part, across various more or less exotic lands.

Reinis Jaunais is one of the most distinctive and best-known young-generation guitarists in Latvia. He is considered the local musician who performs most often abroad. Traveling is not only his way of life, but also a source of inspiration, as his compositions often reflect biographical fragments from what he has experienced around the world. Reinis can boast a rich discography and several nominations for music awards.

Zane Lasmane is a kokle player who virtuously masters traditional kokle playing techniques and is not afraid to cross boundaries in search of new sounds, using various experimental techniques.

Erna Daugaviete is a skilled cellist whose talent has also been heard on stages in Canada and India. After the release of the critically acclaimed debut single "Wetrah", Erna is currently working on her debut solo album.

Together, these three artists create a powerful synergy in which academic experience, roots in folk music, and stories brought back from distant countries are transformed into an emotionally rich and unique sound journey.
