“In Its Own Warmth” – a musical evening in the sounds of cello and gong

“In Its Own Warmth” – a musical evening in the sounds of cello and gong on November 21 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Mujāni Community House.

This will be a warmly melodic journey into the moods of sound and vibration, where you can let yourself be embraced.

The gong’s broad, multilayered vibration will blend with the depth of cello strings, the clear звучание of the kokle, the natural resonance of the voice, and the sounds of other instruments, creating a living, ever-changing soundscape.

The sounds will rise and subside.

They will intertwine and separate.

At times they will be present like a powerful wave, at others nearly imperceptible.

And between them will be your inner peace and silence.

For someone, it will be a meeting with emotions.

You will be guided into the world of sound by Kamēlija Straume and Ieva Buiķe.

Kamēlija has been playing gong and other musical instruments for day and night meditations for more than 15 years, both in Latvia and in other countries. Her own kokle, xylophone, musical bells, kalimba, and other beautiful sounds, as well as vocal chanting, will be heard.

Ieva’s heart instrument is the cello, which powerfully interacts with the created sound music. Ieva is inspired by and interested in people and sound through her daily work with children, young people, and adults in music therapy.

Please bring everything needed for comfortable lying down: a mat or mattress, a blanket, a pillow, as well as comfortable clothing and warm socks.

The number of places is limited in order to maintain a high-quality and attentive experience for each participant.

Registration: call 29829588 or email info@mujani.lv.

See you in the world of sound!
