A shared goal in one act

During the Song and Dance Festival, thousands of people are able to unite in songs and dances that move the hearts of other thousands. In this story, only nine of our fellow people meet, and yet opinions about what happens at the Song and Dance Festival can lead to both laughter and tears, and hopefully to nothing more tragic.

And although this production is about the Song Festival, in the end the question is about ourselves - how to keep our voice after all that singing, and how to come together in these confused times not only in song, but also in conversation. Do we really always need a special reason in order to have a genuine conversation?

The production was nominated for 4 awards at the 2022/2023 Actors' Night awards: "Best Small-Scale Production of the Year"; "Best Actress in a Supporting Role of the Year" (Agnese Jēkabsone); "Best Young Stage Artist of the Year" (Matīss Budovskis - for directing); "Best New Work in Playwriting of the Year" (Rasa Bugavičute-Pēce).
