Theatre performance “Seven Old Maids”

On 23 October at 17.00, the Kuldīga amateur theatre will visit the Gudenieki Cultural Centre with a staging of Tija Banga’s play Seven Old Maids, directed by Dace Priede. The performance will take the audience back to the first third of the last century, a time when a woman was considered an old maid once she had reached the age of 25. The action takes place in a boarding house, where the daily life and thoughts of the lonely ladies are occupied by the young painter Pūpēdis, while the main concern of the Laimiņi, the owners of the house, is finding a husband for their foster daughter.
