A tragicomedy of the era

"Look at how lovely it is all around, and you are thinking about getting married in this weather!" When Liene has to answer the same question twice in one day, she chooses the path that promises freedom but sacrifices love. The rejected Andris, in the stable with his arm around his little gray mare, is left crying. Wasn't that "Frost in Spring"? It was - only Rūdolfs Blaumanis ended it there, while the performance "Three Funerals and Two Weddings" looks for a continuation in other pages of his works.

In a shameless remix of Blaumanis's collected works, various characters from his short stories and plays meet, their lives crossing and intertwining in a fateful tapestry, creating a portrait of today's society as well. When the most intimate moments become a public show, a survival story turns into a commodity, and the virtues taught from childhood become a trap, and you cannot even trust your own inner voice, a very different tragicomedy of an era is revealed.
