The French group leader Bruno Angelini says of the program idea: “The lotus flower is the only thing that grows in swampy lakes which, like the modern world, are full of mud and danger and inhabited by various dangerous creatures. Yet the water around the lotus becomes clean! The lotus flower is a symbol of light and purity!” The playing of these award-winning musicians is rooted in free jazz and blues moods.
