Christmas Concert and Candlelight Sing-Along “A Moment Before the Miracle”

On the very eve of Christmas, when the holiday is already very close, Collegium’s Early Music Christmas Festival will conclude with a concert and sing-along evening, “A Moment Before the Miracle.”

It will be an evening in which the concert gradually turns into a shared Christmas celebration, with musicians and listeners meeting not only in the same space, but also in the same song. Alongside the joy of listening, everyone will be invited to join in and sing along to familiar Baroque Christmas melodies, allowing the line between stage and audience to become ever less visible.

“A Moment Before the Miracle” is conceived as a warm and unhurried finale to the festival, a chance to pause for a moment in the December bustle and experience that special feeling that comes only a few days before Christmas. Joy mingles with anticipation, solemnity with warmth, while the intimate atmosphere of the concert hall lets you experience the music up close.

This evening, not only the music itself, but also being together will matter. The sing-along format will invite listeners to become participants in the concert, to sing along, to let themselves be carried by familiar melodies, and to create a festive mood together.

Concertgoers will be offered a hot festive drink and aromatic gingerbread cookies.
