During the school holiday, nine-year-old Elizabeth goes to stay with her family in the rainforests of Venezuela. Now that she has made new friends in the city, life in the jungle no longer appeals to her. She wants even less to look after her little brother Leo. When Mom and Dad unexpectedly go to the city to see a doctor, Elizabeth, absorbed in reading a book, does not notice that Leo disappears into the mysterious jungle. To save her brother and the creature Fluffy, a member of an unseen species, Elizabeth dares to discover the secrets of the Venezuelan jungle.
