Free online lecture for parents on recognizing and preventing teenage depression

We invite parents to take part in a six-part online lecture series on recognizing teen depression, prevention, and support options.

The lectures are intended for parents with teenagers in their families, to provide knowledge, support, and practical tools for everyday situations. The sessions will take place on weekday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it easy to join after work.

In recent years, mental health difficulties among teenagers have increased rapidly, and depression is one of the most common problems at this age. It can show up in many different ways, from withdrawal and irritability to serious risks to a child's safety. Often these signs are noticed too late or are attributed to “normal teenage difficulties.” Parents' awareness and timely action can be crucial in helping a young person maintain emotional balance and receive support in time.

The lectures will be led by Elina Bartule, a certified clinical and health psychologist and a cognitive behavioral therapy specialist with extensive experience working with teenagers and their families.

Participation in the lectures is free, and they offer parents a unique opportunity both to gain new knowledge and to strengthen skills that help them better understand and support their teenager.
