The leader of the French group, Bruno Angelini, says of the idea behind the program: “The lotus flower is the only one that grows in swampy lakes, which, like the modern world, is full of mud and danger, inhabited by various dangerous creatures. Yet the water around the lotus becomes clean! The lotus flower is a symbol of light and purity!” The playing of these numerous award-winning musicians is rooted in free jazz and blues moods.
