A trio of French charm and jazz moods, „La Petite Paris” will visit Daugavpils

On November 20 at 6: 00 PM, listeners are invited to a musical evening at the Media Hall of the Daugavpils Unity House with the trio „La Petite Paris” - a musical ensemble whose sound takes listeners into the romantic atmosphere of Parisian cafes, the world of French chanson, and light jazz moods.

„La Petite Paris,” or „Little Paris,” is a special musical ensemble whose repertoire includes well-known and time-tested French melodies, especially music characteristic of France’s musette tradition. In the trio’s performances, French charm, jazz, romance, and the energy of live acoustic music are intertwined.

Concertgoers will have the opportunity to enjoy music that creates the feeling of being able, for a moment, to step into a small Parisian cafe - a place where music feels close, warm, and personal. The performance of „La Petite Paris” is marked by live musical expression and special attention to melody and mood.

Trio lineup:

Marko Ojala - accordion, guitar, vocals.

A musician of Finnish origin and the leader of „La Petite Paris.” Marko Ojala was born in Kalajoki, Finland, received his musical education at the University of Jyväskylä, and has lived in Latvia since 2000. He is known for his virtuosic and expressive accordion playing.

Lauris Amantovs - trombone.

One of Latvia’s best-known jazz and brass musicians, whose trombone sound gives „La Petite Paris” its characteristic jazz atmosphere.

Raivo Ozols - double bass.

The double bassist’s playing forms the trio’s musical foundation, giving the performance a warm, organic, and acoustic sound.

The trio performs acoustically, using accordion, trombone, and double bass, thus creating a particularly warm and immediate atmosphere. In „La Petite Paris” performances, the French musical tradition meets jazz, creating a sound that is equally suited to peaceful listening, shared music-making, and a festive mood.

At the Daugavpils concert, listeners will be able to surrender to melodies that tell of Paris, love, life, and the time that briefly stands still in the sounds of music.
