PANNAS TEĀTRIS invites you to a new performance – the comedy "GREIZSIRŽI"

Once the grass was greener, love was hotter, but jealousy... it never changes! "Pannas Teātris" presents its latest production to the audience’s judgment – the comedy "GREIZSIRŽI". Created by director Juris Rijnieks and playwright Gunta Kalniņa, this two-part comedy will soon begin its journey to audiences in Latvian cultural centers and theatre stages, bringing together an outstanding cast.

We all know that feeling – once the sea was knee-deep, energy flowed in torrents, and every day was lived as if it were the last. The performance "Greizsirži" invites the audience on an exciting, laughter-filled, and slightly nostalgic journey, pressing the "rewind" button to a time 20 years ago. It is a day when everything happened at high speed, when people loved to the fullest, at 200 percent, and when "normal" and "calm" were still not in their vocabulary.

If a shy man has finally gathered the courage to invite the woman he desires over and arrange the perfect date, it seems - what could possibly go wrong? The correct answer - absolutely everything!

At the center of the performance are two vivid and completely different couples whose lives intertwine in an unexpected and comic whirl of events. On one side - Jans, a painter whose "safe bubble" bursts when he falls head over heels in love with Krista, a married woman. His love takes the form of an insane burst of shyness, while Krista is outwardly perfectly organized, intelligent, and disciplined, but in reality just as confused as everyone else and hiding the chaos caused by a crumbling marriage.

On the other side - Roberts and Eva. Roberts is a man who "puts out a fire by pouring gasoline on top of it" - convinced that love can be kept by force and loud jealousy scenes. Meanwhile Eva - a "woman-chaos" - runs from him every time he raises his voice, only to return again as soon as he calls.

The performance vividly proves it - all it takes is one smile at a taxi driver for the bonfire of jealousy to flare up with renewed, devastatingly funny force!

Beloved audience-favorite actors will take the stage: Aldis Siliņš, Ainārs Ančevskis, Elīna Vāne, Zane Aļļēna, Māris Bezmers, Jānis Skanis, and in the role of the policeman, Reinis Liepkalns will join the team.
