Indrani

Latvian Cultural Canon in two parts.

At the beginning of his play "Indrani," Rūdolfs Blaumanis writes: "The action takes place in the present day."

His foresight has proved profound: especially now, the resemblance between "us" then and "us" now is becoming more and more painful. Old arguments have turned into the loud voices of the present and also into great silence. We keep on fighting - each in our own direction, which others no longer understand - and we grow blind. It is clear that this "Indrani" will be about Latvia today.

Performance takes place at: 25 Lāčplēša Street, in the Main Hall.

Running time: 2h 40min (in 2 acts).

Premiere on May 20, 2026.
