KAIJA
“Kaija” is a separate production project of the Theater Master Workshop under the direction of director Edvins.
The aim of the project is to give participants the opportunity to go through the full process of creating a performance and become familiar with production as it exists in the professional theater environment - from the first reading, play analysis, and casting to rehearsals and the moment of meeting the audience.
Here, the usual model of “teacher - student” no longer exists. Here there is a director, actors, roles, and a shared performance, for which each person takes their own share of responsibility. It is an opportunity to put into practice the skills learned so far, encounter new tasks, and understand which tools have already become one’s own and which still need to be mastered.
The Theater Master Workshop is a creative educational project based on a simple idea: theater is not just about talent - acting can be learned. Step by step, by sequentially mastering specific tools and understanding how and why they work.
It is important to us not only to give a person stage experience or help them become more open, but also to develop skills that they can continue to use in the future - in new productions, auditions, work with other directors, and their own personal projects.
