In Mexico, on the coast of the Mayan Riviera, Cancun lies bathed in golden sunlight. In the 1970s it was only a fishing village, but today it is one of the best resorts in the world.

Historians believe that the city’s name comes from the word "Kancan," which in the Mayan language means “snake throne” or "magic snake." What kind of magic can there be today? In Cancun, the only miracles are the climate and the service. And two married couples, Reme and Vicente, Laura and Pablo, have planned to enjoy a well-deserved vacation and pleasant company: they have known each other forever, get along well, and travel together every year. Of course, any trip is an adventure, but did even one of the four suspect where the sentimental toast and Reme’s accidental confession would lead...

Jordi Galceran remains true to himself: “Cancun” is a sharp, vivid and powerful play, full of biting humor and uncomfortable, penetrating observations about human nature.
