Breakdance Tournament “Skill Deal 2026”

On October 3, Daugavpils will host the international breakdance tournament “Skill Deal 2026,” which will bring together world-class breakers, judges, and other industry representatives from ten countries and four continents. The qualifying battles will begin at 11:00, while the evening program and finals will take place from 19:00 to 22:00. Admission for spectators will be free.

This year’s tournament will have special significance, as it will also mark the 20th anniversary of Daugavpils breakdance school “Factory Kingz.” The school was founded in 2006, and over the years its students have represented Daugavpils in competitions of various levels in Latvia and abroad, gained international experience, and continued to develop breakdance culture in the city. “Skill Deal 2026” will combine an anniversary celebration, high-level competition, and exchange of experience between dancers of different generations.

In break battles, or battles, dancers take turns stepping onto the dance floor, demonstrating their technique, musicality, originality, improvisation skills, and ability to respond to their opponent’s performance. That is why every battle is different, and its outcome cannot be predicted in advance.
