What happens to an actor when he is left alone with himself in an empty space?

In the movement performance “Portraits. Self-Portraits,” the actor has nowhere to hide. There is no character, no text, no ready-made story, and no predetermined role. What remains is the actor himself - his body, presence, impulses, doubts, courage, and ability to be truthful in the present moment.

The performance is an invitation to look into the actor’s world of movement - a space where the body’s movement becomes a language. There, the features of personality are revealed, meanings are born, harmonious and disharmonious dialogues take shape, and in different fragments a search for wholeness takes place.

The actor’s presence itself becomes an event. Because sometimes the hardest thing on stage is simply to be yourself.

The self-portraits were created by the actors themselves, while also allowing themselves to be portrayed from the outside - through costume, sound, and movement.
