Principled Stance
The second part of the trilogy dedicated to the outstanding investigator of especially important cases, Rita Aksenoka, will take us from the 1970s (the first part “What Can a Person Do”, Latvian National Theatre, Actors’ Hall, 2025) twenty years into the future - to the time when independent Latvia was restored. It was not only a sea of red-and-white-red flags and people joining hands. It was also racketeering, the blowing up of monuments, the invasion of the prosecutor’s office carried out by OMON, but staunchly defended by Latvia’s top Communist, Alfred Rubiks.
